Call for an ambitious EU climate law
Today, Statkraft together with seven other energy companies sent a letter to Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans.
The letter urges the Commission to “implement climate neutrality at the latest by 2050 across all policy areas in the European Union including increasing the EU’s 2030 ambition ahead of COP26 to at least 55 per cent.”
It also welcomes the Commission’s push to enshrine climate neutrality in law and argues that it creates “regulatory predictability that can steer the investments” to green the EU economy.
