Statkraft selects HCL Technologies to improve business-aligned IT services
Statkraft has signed an agreement with the technology company HCL Technologies to outsource the operation of the company’s administrative IT infrastructure. This includes operations, maintenance, development, support, integration and orchestration of basic IT services.
Systems for monitoring and operating power plants are not in scope.
-The contract with HCL Technologies will help Statkraft become a more competitive company with agile and secure IT services in order to develop core business. I also appreciate that all employees affected are offered job in HCL, says Johnny Langsrud Næss, CIO in Statkraft.

During the process HCL Technologies technical solutions and operational processes has been evaluated to be the best option for Statkraft in the coming period. The solutions proposed will help Statkraft to develop IT infrastructure services further, including more seamless integration of cloud services.
HCL Technologies have mature processes and tools to encourage employees to look for innovation ideas in their deliveries, and to promote sharing of competence and innovations across client accounts. They have also shown high focus on IT and information security matters, and robust processes and controls are implemented to prevent information security incidents.
