Changes in Statkraft's management
Irene Egset joins Statkraft's corporate management with responsibility for corporate staff. She takes over from Steinar Bysveen, who will become Executive Vice President Wind Power, Technologies and Strategy.
The current head of the business area Wind Power and Technologies, Jon Brandsar, is leaving the corporate management but will continue as an advisor to the CEO.
Jon Brandsar has served in the top leadership at Statkraft since 2003 and has played a central role in the development of the group.
His experience and competence will be very useful in times to come, says CEO Christian Rynning-Tønnesen
The corporate management of Statkraft will now have the following composition:
Chief executive officer (CEO), Christian Rynning-Tønnesen
Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Hallvard Granheim
Executive Vice President Corporate Staff, Irene Egset
Executive Vice President Power Generation, Hilde Bakken
Executive Vice President Wind Power, Technologies and Strategy, Steinar Bysveen
Executive Vice President Market Operations and IT, Jürgen Tzschoppe
Executive Vice President International Hydropower, Asbjørn Grundt
Irene Egset comes from the position as SVP of Financial Reporting and Strategic Finance and was previously Finance Director of the business area Wind Power and Technologies. She came to Statkraft in 2008 from the electrical industry and, among other roles, used to work as a senior advisor at Statoil.
I am very pleased with the appointments. Irene Egset has extensive experience from various management positions in finance and economics. As Executive Vice President Corporate Staff she will lead key functions during a time of major challenges and opportunities for the company. Steinar Bysveen has had an important role in corporate management for many years and now takes over the task of leading one of the central business areas, says Christian Rynning-Tønnesen.
The changes come into effect from the 4th of February 2016.
