A great place to work
Good placings in the Great Places to Work and Universum Graduate surveys reveal Statkraft as a popular workplace. In the latest surveys, Statkraft is creeping up the rankings both in Norway and elsewhere in Europe.
Statkraft is rising quickly up the list of Norway’s most popular places to work. Engineering students in this year’s Universum Graduate Survey vote Statkraft the country’s fifth best place to work, up from 15th last year. Economics students have also now picked up on Statkraft, placing the company at number 25, up from 43 in the 2008 survey.
This year’s good rankings mean that Statkraft has been crowned the most attractive employer in the power and energy sector.
Statkraft is also creeping up the list of Europe’s best workplaces. In May, Great Places to Work put Statkraft at a welcome 41st place, up four from the previous year. 1350 companies in Europe took part in the award.
Ellen Sofie Hunsbedt, Statkraft’s recruitment and employee induction manager, is well pleased with the results.
“For Statkraft to be, and to be perceived to be, an attractive workplace is a key plank in our HR strategy, which states that we are to attract, develop and retain the most competent, responsible and innovative employees within our fields. These strong rankings are the result of focused activity over a number of years”, says Hunsbedt, who is very grateful to everyone who participated.
“Not the least of it is that we have many satisfied employees, who are proud of their workplace and readily recommend Statkraft as an employer to friends and acquaintances. That’s the best testimonial we can get.”
